Running 26.2

Running 26.2

This race is long,
How am I going to finish strong?
My body is weak,
My soul is filled with grief.
I lose my grip,
Does anyone even give a rip?
My head hangs low,
Water soaks through my shoes to my toes.
It's getting harder to move,
I've got nothing else to prove.
That's when You found me.

When my strength was gone,
You strengthened me to press on.
You gave me reason to run,
The battle has already been won!
In my grief I found joy,
It all started with a New Baby Boy!
He had one purpose on this earth,
To live and die so I could have a new birth!
He is risen,
I don't have to stay in this prison!
I'm running with my head up now,
I'm running to the One wearing the crown!
I would run this race again,
All to see my Savior win!

"My soul weeps because of grief; Strengthen me according to Your word. I shall run the way of Your commandments, for You will enlarge my heart. Remember the word to Your servant, in which You have made me hope. This is my comfort in my affliction, That Your word has REVIVED ME!"
-Psalms 119:28,31,49-50
