Keep Looking Ahead

You don't have to try.
You don't have to pretend to be somebody you're not.
You don't have to tone down your laugh.
You don't have to worry about scaring people off with your excited and enthusiastic personality,
Because there will be people who won't like that, but there will also be people who do.
There will be people who don't give your friendship a chance, but there will be people who love what you bring into the friendship.
There will be guys who reject you.
There will be guys and people who will hurt you.
But don't let those few stereotype the others. That's how prejudice and bitterness takes root.
Even when people hurt you, Love people anyways.

Remember the people who love and support you.
Remember the God who loves you so dearly.
Remember how Jesus died for you way before you even loved him back;
Remember how Jesus loved those who persecuted and rejected him.
Remember how Jesus saves not just the lost, but he sustains those who believed in him.

Out of all the guys who rejected you,
There will be one man who falls in love with your quirks and flaws.
One man already has, and that man is Jesus.

There will be a man (in God's work and timing) who will fall in love with you because of your love for Jesus.
There will be a guy who loves your character.
There will be a guy who will love you enough to be a better man and who will push you to be a better woman.
There will be a guy who wouldn't change a thing about you, but he'll want you to change to be more like Jesus; and the same goes for him.
There will be a guy, but you have to wait.
Don't wait and do nothing though.
Don't live in depression and discontentment.
You're single now for a purpose.
God is preparing you right now to be the woman he wants you to be in the future.
Don't waste your singleness. Use it for the kingdom of God in ways you won't be able to do in marriage.

Singleness and marriage is a God-given gift.
Don't waste either gift.
Use both to the fullness while you have it.

One day there will be a man who looks at you like Jesus as the bridegroom looks at you.

"You shall be a crown of beauty in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of your God. You shall no more be termed Forsaken, and your land shall no more be termed Desolate, but you shall be called My Delight is in Her, and your land Married; for the Lord delights in you, and your land shall be married. For as a young man marries a young woman, so shall your sons marry you, and as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so shall your God rejoice over you." -Isaiah 62:3-5

Our best days are not behind us.
