"Don't be so worried, Molly!"

"As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!” “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.” (Luke 10:38-42 NIV)

I can be so distracted with the preparations just like Martha in Luke 10. My ADHD can cause my brain to focus on all the tasks that need to be done and my brain gets overwhelmed and worried that I don't have time to do them all... But my time is limited, and God's is not. He knows my to do list and he knows I must do them, but in order to get them done without worry or stress, I must do what is better FIRST- to sit at His feet just like Mary did. I may not get everything done on my todo list today, but I'll get done what God wants me to get done.

"Don't be so worried, Molly." I hear Jesus say often when I am not distracted by the busy noises around me. "Sit at my feet and trust me with your day."

A devotion from Michelle Meyers fitness devotion is this, "give Him your best, and He'll take care of the rest."

Today I give my todo list to the Lord instead of stressing over it.
Whatever I do today let it be for the Lord.

Everything for God's glory!
